There is a genuine shortcut built into the Queensland logbook. Your first 10 hours of professional lessons are each logged as three, which turns 10 into 30. That is nearly a third of the 100 supervised hours dealt with before you have driven much at all.
Your bay instructor records every lesson so it counts properly. Past the first 10 they log as normal hours, and they are usually the most useful driving a learner does before the test. Where a parent is doing the supervising, it also trims down the run of night drives.
Transport and Main Roads, not Metro, books and runs the practical test, and around Moreton Bay it happens at three centres. Which one you use usually comes down to where you live, so it helps to know them before test day. Your instructor can take you over the roads near your centre beforehand.
