Driving lessons around Petrie
Around the junction of Gympie Road, Dayboro Road and Anzac Avenue, Petrie’s town centre brings together shops, services, pedestrians and public transport. Our instructors can introduce this area once you are ready, using local centre streets to practise scanning, gap selection, turning across traffic and dealing with parked vehicles. Starting at quieter times of day helps you build confidence before tackling busier periods near the retail and health facilities.
Petrie’s river corridor and hilly ground shape how lessons progress. Near the North Pine River and Yebri Creek, our instructors focus on low‑speed manoeuvring into park access roads and car parks, avoiding any flooded or unsafe conditions. Around Petrie State School, Our Lady of the Way and other sloping school and heritage sites, you can practise smooth hill starts, approach speeds and parking on gentle gradients, all while learning to read school‑zone signs and watch for pedestrians.
