Your part of the city
Getting your licence in the western suburbs
The western suburbs are the hilliest part of Brisbane, and that shapes how people learn here. The steep streets through The Gap, Bardon and Kenmore make for real hill-start practice once you are ready, while Moggill Road and Waterworks Road are the busier arterials that take a bit more time. Flatter, quieter streets around Corinda, Sherwood and Graceville are an easy place to begin.
Getting confident on hills early makes a lasting difference, so our west-side instructors spend proper time on slopes, give ways and the roundabouts near Kenmore and Indooroopilly. You keep the same instructor throughout, pick-up from the University of Queensland or home is included, and a parent can organise the lessons if that suits. For learners moving between areas, driving lessons throughout Brisbane tie it all together.
