Moorooka State School on Sherley Street and St Brendan's Primary School are practical local references. Nearby Annerley, Rocklea, Salisbury, Tarragindi and Yeerongpilly also allow lesson conditions to change without sending the learner far from a familiar area.
Beaudesert Road carries the main shopping and cafe strip, including Moorvale near Mayfield Road, so learners can meet buses, pedestrians, parking and frequent turns in one corridor. Ipswich Road and the Magic Mile bring a more commercial setting with larger access points and steady through traffic. Those areas suit later work on lane choice, following distance and reading vehicles entering from businesses rather than an early fixed practice loop.
