On the road in Shorncliffe
Along Park Parade and neighbouring foreshore streets, lessons can focus on driving at lower speeds while sharing space with people heading to Shorncliffe Pier, Moora Park and nearby playgrounds. These bayside corridors are useful for practising parallel parking, angle parking and safe reversing around parked cars. Our instructors help you manage changing visibility from sea breezes and light spray, and learn when it is better to avoid or reschedule if water or debris affects the road surface.
Shorncliffe’s cliff-top streets and access down towards Lower Moora Park give practical spots to work on hill starts, smooth braking and reading changing sightlines. Moving between higher residential areas and the lower waterfront car parks helps you feel how gradients change vehicle control. Our instructors use these conditions to develop clutch control or gentle accelerator use, and to reinforce careful scanning for pedestrians near viewpoints, park entrances and the start of walking tracks such as Lovers Walk.
