On the road in Priestdale
Priestdale is mostly mapped for environmental management and conservation, with recreation and open space around Underwood Road. That usually means fewer internal destinations and more of your driving focused on the main access spine. Our instructors use this to start with simple orientation, practising scanning, speed control and positioning where the street network is less dense, before adding more complex decision making at busier junctions toward neighbouring suburbs.
Underwood Road runs through Priestdale and carries trips to places like Underwood Park and Chung Tian Temple. Around the park and community centre you can expect extra turning movements, pedestrians and parking activity at certain times. Our instructors make good use of these changing conditions, helping you practise approach speeds, indicating, gap selection and sharing space with people walking to local facilities, while still keeping lesson routes suited to your confidence level.
