Learning to drive here
On the road in Nundah
Nundah's ridge and established residential pockets give our instructors useful choices for steering, smooth braking and speed control on changing gradients. Nundah State School, Mary MacKillop College and St Joseph's School are familiar references, with school traffic changing conditions at predictable times. Clayfield and Hendra are road-connected neighbours, allowing a lesson to extend naturally once the learner is comfortable with the immediate streets.
Sandgate Road is the suburb's major arterial, running past a concentrated retail strip and through the George Bridges Tunnel. Around Bage Street and Buckland Road, Nundah Village adds shops, pedestrians, parking and access to the railway station. Oxenham Park sits east of the station as another clear reference. Together these areas support later work on lane planning, tunnel approach, pedestrian scanning and patient decisions around a busy local centre.
