Driving lessons around Kingston
Kingston’s mainly residential layout means there are plenty of short local trips, parked cars and driveways for you to navigate. Our instructors often begin with these streets so you can focus on steering, positioning and scanning for hazards at lower speeds without feeling rushed. As you settle in, we’ll introduce nearby school traffic and childcare areas so you can practise slower speeds, turning in and out of side streets and watching for pedestrians at different times of day.
As you progress, Kingston Road and the broader Brisbane–Beenleigh Road corridor provide a useful step up from quiet streets. Here you can work on lane discipline, judging gaps and dealing with higher-speed through traffic. The upgraded intersection where Kingston Road meets Compton Road offers chances to practise signalised turns and reading new lane markings. Our instructors also make use of the varied conditions towards Slacks Creek and Berrinba so you experience changes in speed limits and traffic patterns across neighbouring suburbs.
