Getting started in Grange
Grange’s predominantly residential character and leafy, family-oriented streets are useful for early lessons when you are still managing basic steering, braking and positioning. Our instructors can use quieter local roads around homes and small parks to focus on speed choice, scanning for children and pets, and dealing with on-street parking. As you settle in, we can layer in slightly busier sections without leaving the suburb, so you get used to everyday local movement before tackling major routes toward the test centre.
Days Road runs through Grange as a mixed residential and small-retail corridor, including spots like the 7‑Eleven and café corners. Our instructors can use this change in conditions to help you practise turning across traffic, watching for cars entering and leaving short-stay parking, and adjusting your gap selection as activity varies during the day. Moving between side streets and Days Road also prepares you for similar neighbourhood centres you might meet on the way to Greenslopes or Sherwood for your driving test.
