Getting started in Gordon Park
Gordon Park’s small size means even short drives often cross into Kedron, Stafford or Lutwyche. Our instructors use the quieter, predominantly residential streets for early work on steering, basic intersections and parked‑car spacing. As you grow in confidence, we can extend lessons along routes that edge onto Stafford Road or towards Lutwyche, so you experience the change from local traffic to multi-lane flow without it feeling rushed.
Kedron Brook with its bikeway and parks along the southern and eastern edges adds another layer of awareness. Our instructors choose lesson times and streets so you can practise reading shared path crossings, watching for cyclists, dog walkers and children near the road, and understanding how flood‑affected creekside areas differ from the more elevated blocks closer to Stafford Road and Richmond Street.
