The planned estate character, with its shorter internal streets and cul‑de‑sacs, is useful for early work on three‑point turns and slow manoeuvres without needing to manage heavy through‑traffic at the same time.
Around Fitzgibbon’s extensive green space and recreation areas, learners can experience the sort of weekend and after‑school traffic that comes with parks and sports use. Our instructors use these streets to build habits around scanning for people stepping out from between cars, slower cyclists and changing parking patterns. As you progress, the mixed‑use areas, including commercial and office style precincts, add delivery vehicles and short‑stay bays, so you can practise indicating early, choosing safe gaps and keeping a steady low speed while people move in and out of parked cars.
