Learning to drive here
Driving lessons around Bulimba
Around Oxford Street, you’ll experience Bulimba’s village heart, with dining, cinemas, shops, the library and Bulimba State School all feeding into the same corridor. Our instructors use nearby residential streets for early lessons, then gradually introduce driving along the retail strip so you can practise observation, parked cars, crossings and turning into side streets. This helps you learn how pedestrian‑friendly planning, crossings and short‑stay parking change the way traffic flows along a main street.
Towards the riverfront and Bulimba Memorial Park, the roundabout end of Oxford Street, Stuart Street and Godwin Street create a compact block with park edges, turning movements and evolving development. Our instructors can use this area to build skills in roundabout approach, lane positioning and low‑speed decision making, while the nearby Bulimba Barracks and Lua precinct redevelopment activity may add construction vehicles and new visitor traffic over time. This prepares you to read changing conditions rather than relying on a fixed pattern.
