Behind the wheel in Holland Park
Holland Park is mostly residential, with commercial activity concentrated along Logan Road. For learners, that matters because our instructors can choose calmer side streets for the early part of a lesson, then gradually bring in the more active road edges when you are ready. Logan Road is a useful north-south reference, while Cavendish Road creates a strong movement line through the suburb and toward nearby areas. That combination helps beginners practise speed adjustment, scanning and simple navigation without having to learn everything in one go.
The suburb also has practical landmarks that make lesson directions easier to follow. CB Mott Park and Majestic Park work well as orientation points, and the local heritage trail notes parking and toilets at both parks, which can help when planning short lesson stops or meeting points. Some parts of the locality include rising ground, so hill starts and braking can become part of the lesson progression once basic control is settled. That makes the area useful for steady skill-building rather than rushing straight into complex traffic.
