Driving lessons around Caloundra
Around the coastal headland and beach areas, Caloundra’s gentle gradients, curves and changing sea views make observation and speed control especially important. Our instructors use these streets to help you get comfortable with looking ahead, reading the road and managing speed on rises near the lighthouse reserve. The historic Caloundra lighthouse on Canberra Terrace is a useful visual reference as you learn to navigate headland streets and link them with the flatter beach corridors connected by the Caloundra Coastal Walk.
Caloundra’s CBD and waterfront around Bulcock Street and Bulcock Beach Esplanade are lively at times, with tourism and regular markets increasing pedestrian activity and parking demand. Our instructors time lessons and choose routes so beginners first become confident with basic CBD turns and one-way streets before practising near events like the Bulcock Street Fair and Bulcock Beach Esplanade Twilight Markets. This way you gradually learn to handle people crossing, parked cars and changing speed limits along the coastal recreation corridor.
